About Us

Meet Bec
Hi, I’m Bec. I am a mum to 3 beautiful kids and I am a qualified Osteopath and Clinical Nutritionist with over 14 years experience in private practice. After working for over a decade in Brisbane, Bec and her young family decided it was time to permanently head north to the beautiful Sunshine Coast rather than spending half the weekend sitting on the Bruce Hwy.
I have a clinical interest in women’s health, pelvic health and life stage specific nutrition from puberty to menopause. I have completed further training (both Osteopathically and Nutritionally) in women's health, pregnancy, postpartum, pelvic floor care and fertility. I am one of few Osteopaths that are trained in treatment pelvic floor dysfunction and internal assessment and techniques and Internal Pelvic Release Work.
My biggest areas of interest include, but not limited too – pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, postpartum pelvic floor recovery, prolapse, incontinence, C-section scar release, hypothalamic amenorrhea, endometriosis, PCOS, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, male factor infertility and IVF support.
You can read more about these topics in our blog.
I bring a compassionate and empathetic approach to treatment and work with you to customise a realistic and achievable plan.
Prior to relocating to the Sunshine Coast Bec was also a Curriculum Facilitator at Endeavour College in the Myotherapy Department and volunteered for Women’s Health and Equity Queensland and QENDO working to support women with endometriosis, adenomyosis and infertility.
So how did I become so interested in women’s and pelvic health and these areas in particular?
Simple, through both personal and professional struggles I have identified a gap in the market and lack of support for so many. I aim to provide a place to hold space and be a part of your therapeutic team.
How Freya Health Came To Be
The purpose of Freya Health is to help people achieve their happiest and healthiest version of themselves. In Norse mythology Freya was the Goddess of love, beauty, fertility and new beginnings.
The daisy was Freya’s sacred flower; thus, the daisy symbolises childbirth, motherhood and new beginnings.
Freya Health has been established to help provide support, educate and create community for women and men looking to seek a natural route to health, achieve optimal wellbeing and for many of Freya's clients the journey to starting a family and all that comes before and after that - such as fertility support, pelvic floor care and birth preparation
